From Colleagues
There are only few people that have the ability to articulate the depth of Torah in a fashion that touches the heart.
Rabbi Eliezer Shore is one of those people. After reading an article of his, I immediately realized that this is a true teacher of Judaism and I sought him out to learn more about him and how we can work together. Since then, I have discovered that he is involved in a wide range of activities to promote Jewish observance and enhance the appreciation of Torah in the world.
Please lend him your support in any way possible, so his beautiful message will continue to quench the thirst of our brothers and sisters.

For several years, Rabbi Dr. Eliezer Shore has taught classes in Jewish thought at the David Cardozo Academy. His lectures are of outstanding content, most original and fascinating. His style of presentation is unique, and his pleasant and warm personality adds a lot to the classroom atmosphere.
Our students enjoy his lectures immensely, and have always asked that he return to teach further classes.
I therefore recommend Rabbi Shore to any school or institution interested in benefiting from his unique personality and depth and profundity of knowledge.

I have known Eliezer for over twenty-five years and have been consistently impressed by the integrity of his spiritual and professional journey. He is deep, articulate, open, meticulously committed to the practice, creative, generous, warm and welcoming. He is dedicated to providing his students with teachings that have both intellectual rigor and practical application. The people I know who have taken Eliezer’s classes consider him their favorite teacher. He would certainly be an asset to any study program.

Eliezer Shore is the kind of Jewish teacher we so desperately need. He is deeply grounded in Jewish learning yet he lives in the modern universe. He is a brilliant thinker, whose mind spans worlds—and who is therefore able to bring together the modern and the ancient and to locate eternal truths in his explorations. Rabbi Shore is a profoundly generous teacher. His writing is beautiful and rich, his offerings never disappoint. On the contrary, he is consistently nourishing and consistently a mensch.

The gap between students and educators in Yeshivot and similar programs is often much wider than we adults would like to admit. The students don't feel the importance and relevance of the Torah to their lives. Enter Rabbi Shore who connects with wit and wisdom to even difficult-to-reach students in his unique way. His recent presentation at our Yeshiva, Neveh Zion, was a tremendous success. Using discussion of popular movies as the springboard, he developed an immediate connection and was able to communicate Torah true principles in a warm and exciting way. Anyone interested in teaching the beauty and relevance of Torah in a unique and stimulating way should take advantage of the presentation and talks of Rabbi Shore.

Dear Rav Eliezer,
Thank you very much for your shiurim, I found them very interesting and thought-provoking. I personally enjoyed the way you live these issues and struggle with them. This is not just a theoretical topic for you but a fundamental issue. This comes across in the classroom and adds a lot of value to the shiur.

Dr. Shore,
I never understood the power that awe can bring to Judaism. Thank you for opening a gateway to that connection. You bring your very spirit into the classroom and for that, as well as the education, I am grateful.

From Students
Dear Professor Shore,
I’ve been deeply impacted by the material in our class, and by your presence in my daily life. Very few professors have approached the classroom as Holy Ground in my experience, and it makes all the difference. So, thank you for all your words and for sharing your wealth of wisdom. I’ll think of this time everyday, when I start Hebrew in the fall! I hope we stay in touch.
Blessings,

What a wonderful class and a wonderful professor. I learned so much about a huge range of different issues and approaches to Jewish spirituality this semester. Professor Shore really got us to delve into the heart of the issues and wrestle with some very difficult concepts. This class made me think harder than I ever have before in an academic religious class about my personal relationship to the class material and subject matter. Every class was an adventure, and I walked away thinking.

This is probably my favorite course. Dr. Shore brings a lot of passion and knowledge to the classroom and also has a gift for bringing people to share their ideas and engage with the study texts. I would estimate that the student participation and interest level in this class is the highest I’ve seen in any course. Everyone contributes to debating the ideas, largely because Dr. Shore knows which questions will engage and excite people. Selection of texts successfully balanced breadth and depth.

Thank you so much for this class Rabbi. I really appreciate the ability to study Kabbalah for the first time and I'm so glad that I had that experience with you as my teacher. I could not have asked for a more inspiring, intellectually honest and overall amazing Rabbi or Professor to teach me something that means so much to me.

Dr. Shore,
You have been my favorite teacher. Thank you. I cannot imagine a more touching and inspiring (and unorthodox, if you'll pardon me for saying so!) introduction to Judaism than what you have provided. (And I'm not saying nice things only because I've just handed you a grossly over-length essay to mark.)

Hi, Rabbi, I had the best year. This was one of the coolest classes I have had. I never thought and looked at movies as I do now. You made realize how much power and meaning movies have, which I didn’t realize before. Hope to stay in touch. Thank you,

Shalom. I picked up your journal in Denver, Colorado at TRI – R. Twersky’s community, and what beautiful divine providence. It was a journal from Pessah time – and each word spoke to the depths of my neshama and to the journey I am on as a baal teshuva.

R. Shore,
I have found Bas Ayin to be about the only publication out there reflecting the views that I’m comfortable with these days. It seems your work is no longer archived. Is it still available on the net or for purchase? Keep up the good work. There is a great need for what you.
